Chinese New Year is all about prosperity, blessing, luck, lanterns and red! Everything around here is red. Red banners, red signs, red dresses, red lanterns and more red lanterns. There are so many red lanterns when I close my eyes I see red dots! The town is completely decked out in red lanterns. So here for your February desktop enjoyment is red! But I know some of you might find a red desktop a little unsettling (like me) and so I have given you a few options this month. To download – simply click the link below your choice and the download should begin. Enjoy and Gong Xi Fa Chai!

Love the first image, Matt – the pattern & repetition juxtaposed with the close-up of one of the lanterns. Can’t imagine staring at this as my desktop, but otherwise an amazing shot.

Thanks Brad. Alou felt our Chinese friends would love it. As I said in the post, too much red for me 😉

The more I look, the more I like the second photo. Not that I have any problem with all the red, because having lived in China for so many years, red has really grown on me, but the movement of the second photo is appealing. At first, I almost dismissed it as strangely tilted and framed, but then I started to feel more like it was a gentle breeze that tilted it…well, the tassels were the first clue. Thanks for these.

Actually, I recently used a collection of your wallpapers to “redecorate” the computer lab photos here at school.
