Rain, rain go away.

Rain, rain go away.

Orang Malu

Come again another day…. preferably after I leave. Today was a wash – in many ways quite literally. We had planned to photograph sunset at Borobudur, the ancient Buddhist ruins from the 9th century, but we had so much rain we couldn’t even see the ruins. So we choose to skip it for the day and try again tomorrow morning. We did photograph the local bird market. That was a first for me. It was rather difficult to see so many animals that should have been running free in the jungle in very small cages. Even a small liter of some sort of mountain cat. But rather than stressing you with images of caged kitties, I leave you with three fun images inspired by the rain.

Thanks Jon. They were being silly and it was a matter of timing and things coming together.

Rainy season on Java…got to love it.  The reflections in the water on the last pic really give the grey rainy street life.
