Yesterday on the radio I heard the National Weather Service here in Malaysia say that this September has been the worst month for storms in 30 years. It seems everyday we get torrential downpours. And by “downpours” I mean crazy, pullover, stop the car, stop the wipers because they are useless and wait it out type of downpour. Unlike the storms I grew up with, these will pound a village with high winds and heavy rain, but just a kilometer away nothing–dry as a bone. Roof tops will be blown off in one village but in the next no rain at all. It can make for some dramatic images. In this image you see a large storm dump heavy rain on the horizon while the sea stays calm around this fisherman who continues his work.  I am calling this October’s wallpaper “Storm Warnings”.  Enjoy and feel free to share the link with your friends. By the way, that is not the US flag flying on the left. That is the sun, star and stripes of  Malaysia’s flag the Jalur Gemilang (Stripes of Glory).
