A Postcard from Pushkar

A Postcard from Pushkar

Photography by Matt Brandon

If you know the city of Pushkar, it’s probably because of its camel fair every November. But to Hindus, it’s a holy city as it is the location of one of the very few Brahma temples in the world. It is also famous for pilgrims from all over Rajasthan and beyond coming to bathe in the holy waters of the Pushkar lake. Ironically, it is becoming known for its hippy population that rivals the pilgrims in numbers. Never the less, it is a city of beauty and culture and one I enjoy photographing.

I love the images Matt, some day I need to make it Pushkar. Have you ever heard of or been to Aurangabad? If not it needs to be on your list of places to visit.

Fantastic images, as always Matt. I love the man and cow both putting their heads in the windows. Gave me a good giggle!
