Egypt: Aswan Nubian Village
We travel in 52c (125º) heat, across the Nile and reached an isolated Nubian village visited by few foreigners. It was like nothing I have ever seen. The walls of the home where bright blue, deep red and mustered yellow. The people, the most friendly we have met in Egypt and the light was perfect; the wind had made the air dusty and thus the whole sky was our soft box. This is was our continued research for a proposed Nile Workshop. If you want to read more about this Nile Cruise Workshop, check out Marco Ryan’s recent post on it HERE.
But, today it’s photos and very little words. So, I’ll shup up and let these images speak of Nubia. (click on the image to view it larger)
Amazing colours and images.
Great images….
Seems like a cultural oasis.
Very vibrant and filled with life.
Beautiful work Matt-lighting was perfect–great work!
Really nice work, Matt!
Oh the colour….<sigh>
These photographs are great Matt. Are the images placed at the bottom part of your theme, a plugin, or placed by hand. I thought they were a nice presentation idea for a mini gallery to a post.
Thanks Chris. The images are simply in the gallery feature that is built into Word Press.
And I thought I knew wordpress…. That was pretty easy. Not sure why I didn't see that before. I guess last time I looked you had to use [gallery] tags, and I figured it wasn't worth it. Thanks for the idea and help. I'll have a post up tomorrow with a gallery.
Oh wow … very very nice colors. Well done Matt. Thanks for sharing these.
Love it… do you know the name of this village? I will be visiting one this year too.
