Massive flood lights light up one of the staging areas for the Thaipusam pilgrims.
For the past few years that I have been covering Thaipusam I have always shot using a flash early in the morning. I often use a technique called dragging the shutter or rear curtain sync. Today I wanted to try something different. I spent much of my morning shooting with available light, with a few exceptions. These are images from day two of Thaipusam.

Awesome captures of Thaipusam and the surreal images of the Bhakthi. Always wanted to visit either KL, Penang or Singapore for one of the Thai Pusams.
You should also visit Chettinad, Tamilnadu, India for some unique pictures of Asia. And the Thai pusam at Palai andavar temple, Palani Hills, Tamilnadu, India.
