Catchlight Arrives

While I was away in Thailand one of the folks attending the meetings brought me a copy of my book. I must say, I was very pleased with what I saw. In fact, I was amazed at the quality of the print job and the binding. The jacket looks very professional as well. My only nit is the books cloth binding has no titled embossed on it. So, once the cover goes the way of so many other dust jackets, that is, into the dust bin, it will be difficult to identify the book. Some of the images seemed too flat or too dark. So I went back to the original files and tweaked them in Photoshop and now all is well. I ordered a paperback edition with the tweaked images. I will keep you posted when I get the new edition in my hot little hands.

Many people have asked me if the book will be sold on Amazon. It could be in theory, but Amazon takes a huge bite out of the sale of the book. If I want to put the book on Amazon I need to buy an ISBN number for the book. This cost is between $150 to $250. Then, Amazon will take 40% of the the retail cost of the book! So at this point it just is not profitable for me to put the book on Amazon. In fact, it would cost me. So as of today, the only way to buy Catchlight is via Blurb.
