Musi Sekayu

Musi Sekayu

Today we drove for two and a half hours west of Palembang, Sumatra to a small community called Sekayu. We came to an unbelievable community of friendly and welcoming Muslim people called the Musi. They live up and down the Musi River that flow through their territory and down through Palembang. They have a little different physical feature than the other people we have photographed till now and a very different demeanor. These people acted as if they thought it a privileged to be photographed by us and brought the whole village out to have their photos taken.
