Many years ago I spent time in the South Pacific and these photos instantly transported me. The clarity, color, settings, woven mats, light, all.
Amazing what emotion can surface through an image.
Nice work, Matt
Thanks Kathy. The place is pretty magical. But I wonder how much longer it’s got left? There seems to be a sense that the reefs here are in good shape compared to the rest of the world, but still in a vary precarious position. There is a real struggle going on finding a balance that allows these people to live as they always have on one hand and protecting the reef by limiting their access on the other. It’s a complicated story.
Fantastic as ever Matt. Every evocative. Love the ominous lookling skies against the crystal green water.
Kesh
Thanks Kesh, Yes, it was quite a storm that blew through that day. After it passed the light came out over us so it all be came very dramatic. The same thing happened in the photo posted HERE.
